Have A Question? We Have The Answer!
How does it work?
Inside the Scalehound unit is quartz crystal and precious metals that have been manufactured and arranged in a particular way to which it emits a frequency wave that is able to restructure the water molecules permanently giving you the feeling of soft water. The treated water suspends the calcium so that it does not adhere to the sides of your faucets, shower heads, pipes and water heaters (boilers, chillers etc.) making it an ease for cleaning and other maintenance related procedures.
Can a Scalehound replace a salt water softener?
Yes, why take the minerals out of your water if you don’t have to? Just restructure your water to get the same effect that a salt water softener gives, but without the slimy feeling and the hassle of adding salts every month.
Why quartz crystal?
Quartz is an abundant material which has the ability to enhance energy by absorbing, storing, amplifying, balancing, focusing and transmitting. Quartz is a natural occurring element that has not been analyzed fully by the scientific community, yet we have discovered the secret to harnessing this magnificent resource for the benefit of civilization.
Does it emit radiation?
No, absolutely not, and yes we have tested this theory.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
No, one of the many great things about the Scalehound system is that you can easily install it yourself just by just clamping it on to any copper, pex (plastic) or steel pipe. Ideally you want to connect it on the water supply coming into the home so it treats the cold and hot water.
What is my return on investment?
The Scalehound will pay for itself in the form of gas savings in 2-3 years of install. If you are running an electric water heater it will pay for itself much sooner.
Do I need to drain my water tank?
Yes, we suggest that you drain it before you install to flush out any debris then install the Scalehound. After a week or two blow down your tank, flushing out scale that has been taken off by the treated water. This will tell you that the Scalehound is working, saving you energy and extending the life of your water heater significantly.
What should I notice?
After days of installing the Scalehound you should notice the following: hotter water, better soap lather, cleaner dishes, lime scale will start to come off of faucets, shower heads and will never build up again. If your water is too hot turn down the setting on you tank, this will enable you to save more on your heating costs.
